In the midst of all the talk of billions of litres of bin juice and DWER issuing EPNs, on 25 August 2026, the Town of Cambridge considered a Notice of Motion from the Town’s own Deputy Mayor, Ben Mayes.
The motion sought to end Mayor Gary Mack’s appointment as the Town’s delegate to the Mindarie Regional Council and appoint Cr Michael Le Page in his place.
The motion was lost 3–5.
Mayor Mack remains Chair of the MRC.
